Trainer & Jockey combinations and profile (Wayne Francis and Glen Kent)
Wayne Francis and Glen Kent are South Australian trainers based at Finniss Lodge and they also conduct their training activities at Strathalbyn. Wayne transitioned from horse owner to co-trainer at Finniss Lodge which he owns. Glen Kent was invited by Wayne first to be foreman, before becoming co-trainer. Glen comes from a rodeo and horse breaking and extensive pre-training background and is also an experienced farrier. At one point Jamie Kah was stable jockey.
It's worth noting that the 500 acre Finniss Lodge facility with 32 boxes also features state-of-the-art amenities such as water walker, horse walker, galloping treadmill, starting gates, six training tracks, and a two-kilometre circuit for fast gallops.
There has been Group success for the stable. In April 2022, Champagne Dreams won the Redelva Stakes (Listed) at Morphettville. In the just completed 2023-2024 S.A. Provincial Trainers Premiership the stable ranked 9th, on 14 wins, with a strike rate of 16.3%

The Wizard Ratings Results report includes the results of the top-two rated Wrat runners. This information should provide a better guide to those subscribers who are interested in backing two runners in a race (where odds are acceptable) or anchor two runners for multiples etc. (Note: Over the long term the top-two Wrat runners have won around 43% to 46%, and the top rated runner 25% to 27%, of races on a seasonal basis)
