Multibet Example and Multibet Explanation (Repost)

The Wizard Plus Multibet facility is designed to make multibet selection and execution as easy as possible, using the ratings and other information available in Wizard Plus.

This Multibet example was a race run at Belmont Park, on Wednesday, August 28.

Two Multibet preset options are shown:

1.    Wrat 1 and 2

2.    Wrat 1 to 4

First, the Wrat 1 and 2 preset option for the quinella, with Wrat 1 and 2 filling the 1st and 2nd (and 3rd and 4th) placings, and Wrat ranked 1 to 8 for 3rd, and Wrat ranked 1 to 10 for 4th placings.

Clicking on First Four we can see the combinations:

The next screen is for the preset Multibet option, Wrat 1 to 4. Here Wrat 1 to 4 fill the 1st and 2nd (and 3rd and 4th) placings, and Wrat ranked 1 to 8 for 3rd, and Wrat ranked 1 to 10 for 4th placings.

Here, the trifecta combinations have been shown.

There is also a Bet Slip facility which summarises the multiple bet combinations you have generated through Wizard Plus Multibet.

Making use of the Wizard Multibet facility and the opportunity to flexibet with wagering operators opens up a myriad of possibilities. (More on these later.)

Wizard Plus Multibet - Explanation

The Wizard Plus Multibet facility is designed to make multibet selection and execution as easy as possible, using the ratings and other information available in Wizard Plus.

Wizard Plus Multibet will automatically select pre-determined horses, process the wager, and allow for the bet details to be viewed and printed, whenever you activate that Multibet option at the current and all future meetings.

The Wizard Plus Multibet facility can be used for Quinella, Exacta, Trifecta, and First Four wagering.

Wizard Plus Multibet will calculate the cost of the combinations, the Betting Market percentage of the runners selected to run 1st, as well as create a Bet Slip that lists the combinations for the multibet options you have chosen to activate.

Three multibet options have been preset for you to use, should you wish to do so.

In addition, there is the option for you to add three more multibet strategies reflecting your own preferences.

The three preset options are:

1.    Wrat 1 and 2 - Here the top two Wrat runners are chosen to fill 1st and 2nd placings (as well as 3rd and 4th), with additional runners added for 3rd and 4th placings based on their Wrat ranking. The top two Wrat horses will run the quinella in approximately 11% to 12%  of races.

 2.    Wrat 1 to 4 - Here the top four Wrat runners are chosen to fill 1st and 2nd placings (as well as 3rd and 4th),, with additional runners added for 3rd and 4th placings based on their Wrat ranking. The top four Wrat horses will run the quinella in approximately 40%  of races.

 3.    Top Rated Here the horses rated 100 on any of the four Wizard ratings (Wrat, Wmod, Whcp, Wexpk) are chosen to fill 1st and 2nd placings (as well as 3rd and 4th), with additional runners added for the 3rd and 4th placings based on their Wrat ranking. Historically one of these 100 pointers will win 50% of races.

Before describing how to set up your own Multibet Buttons, some additonal details about Wizard Plus Multibet:

Active updating

You can check and uncheck any of the (horse) boxes on your Multibet screen and that will obviously amend your intended combinations.

In addition, as you check or uncheck any of your multibet selection/s the bet cost is instantly recalculated.

When you change the selections that fill the 1st place position of the bet, the Market Total will change to reflect the new bet.

The Market Total is the win percentage of the 1st selections according to the Early Odds (pre-post) market. The larger this number the less attractive the likely return will be.

Jockey/Trainer, Filter, Negatives

Multibet allows you to integrates into the bet-creation process runners that Wizard Plus has identified as having a significant Jockey/Trainer combination, that rate highest on the Wizard Filter (positive vs negative factor analysis), and/or have a zero Negatives (factors) score. These are shown on the Multibet input screen via the letters J, F, N.

Odds information

On the Multibet input screen are shown two sets of odds  and this information can be used to refine your multibet selections. (You can add or deselect easily by clicking in the 1st,  2nd, 3rd, 4th cells for a runner on the input screen.

First, the Wizard Assessed Odds are included to show where the greatest value might be found, when compared to current (available) and possible final odds.

Second, Early Odds are included to allow for judgements to be made about potential vaue and likely returns. These Early Odds are an average of (pre-post) odds offered in the market by wagering operators.

Now:

Creating your own Multibet button

As well as having access to the three preset Multibet options you can create three Multibet options to suit your own preferences.

Click on the Multibet button and then choose Define Your Own Buttons.

Click on Setup and then enter the criteria you wish to employ in this Multibet option.

First, enter the title for this Multibet button in the Button Title cell and then enter the conditions for each selection position (1st through to 4th)

The first items are the rank positions for Wizards  four rating options, Wrat Wmod Whcp Wexpk which are to be found in the Multibet active input screen, Plus Panel, the Essentials Report, and other elements of Wizard Plus.

Leave blank if you don't want to include a particular rating type.  If you do use a rating rank, you must fill in both the minimum and maximum values, even if they are the same.  Only whole numbers are valid and should be between 1 to 24 (maximum field size).

The next entry spot is the maximum assessed odds, again, leave blank if not used, otherwise enter a number, decimal numbers are accepted here.

Lastly, is the join type.  This tells the system how to function when you have selected multiple rating ranks.  An AND join means that the horse has to meet every condition you have defined in the rating ranks.  An OR join means that the horse has to meet at least one condition you have defined in the rating ranks.

Once you have filled in the conditions for each position (you can leave a position blank by not entering any details for that position), click on Save at the bottom of the page.  The Multibet-option button will now appear on the multibet screen.

Clicking on a Multibet option will automatically select the pre-determined horses, process the wager, and allow for the bet details to be viewed and printed, whenever you activate that Multibet option at the current and all future meetings.
