Wizard Magic improves Wrat strike rate by 25%
It is almost one month since Wizard Magic (TOP) Report was released to subscribers. The feedback from users has been extremely positive, which is very gratifying. (TOP = Trainer Out-Perform)
It is worth noting that the results achieved over this first month have matched our expectations, given the long testing period the Magic report underwent.
What is particularly pleasing is to see that one possible outcome is being realised. When undertaking this Magic (TOP) project it was my belief that overlaying the Magic assessment on the Wizard rating (Wrat) should have a positive impact. This has, in fact, been confirmed in this first month of operations.
Looking at all races where the Wrat 100 pointer started at odds between $2.00 and $20.00 that is, in the bettable and gettable category we had:
Total Wrat races = 1,084
Wrat winners = 251
Wrat strike rate = 23.2%
Now, only considering the Wrat 100 pointers that were in this SP odds range AND were highlighted in the Magic Report as a qualified TOP runner:
Total Wrat races = 354
Wrat winners = 103
Wrat strike rate = 29.1%
The difference between an overall strike rate of 23.2% and 29.1% (5.9%) is a 25.4% improvement.
This result is very pleasing and this, and other aspects of the Magic and Raceday Reports will be discussed in coming days.
