New Wizard Report - Wrat4 & Assessed Odds Report
Historically the Wizard (Wrat) top 4 rated runners win some 70% of all races run. The results yesterday again confirm this fact. Across the three meetings (Grafton, Kyneton, and Port Lincoln) there were 18 winners in the 25 races rated in the Wrat top 4.
As noted previously subscriber feedback shows that Wizard users do make very good use of this fact, and currently use the Essentials Report to home in on those Wrat4 runners and their Wizard assessed odds and early market odds.
As one of the main aims of the Wizard is to provide genuinely useful pre-race reports that aid the selection-making process we have today released a new Wizard report.
The purpose of the Wrat4-AOdds report is to focus on the top 4 Wrat runners and their Wizard assessed odds. In addition, the early race-morning pre-post odds (adjusted to 120%) are included so that a user has an indication as to likely price advantage or disadvantage that might occur later in the day.
By focusing on these favoured runners, Wizard further streamlines the selection-making process for win and place bettors, as well as those who prefer quinella, trifecta, first-four, quadrella, and other forms of exotic betting.
The Wrat4-AOdds report is posted twice daily on the everyrace website.
The first posting on the everyrace website is around 8:30am when eastern state scratchings have been processed. The second posting occurs just after 11:00am when scratchings for the remainder of the country should have been received and processed.
(Note: The second edition of the Wrat4-AOdds report will also update the first edition to account for any late scratchings that might have been notified between 8:15am and 10:30am.)
The Wrat4-AOdds report can be accessed via the Raceday button on the home page or via the Quick Links to Purchase Content panel on the right hand side of the home page.

In coming days I will have more to say about the Wrat4-AOdds Report and possible ways to get the most out of it, covering both selection and wagering aspects.

Each day The Wizard will publish on this page one of its Wizard Plus reports or special features, either completely or a part thereof. Today the Wizard Freebie an extract from the Wizard Wrat4-AOdds Report covering Ipswich and Gawler. The full report and all other reports for all meetings for today are available now for subscribers.
Content Explanation:
Race header: Track name, weather and track condition, race number, class/type of race, and distance.
Tab: Tab/racebook number
Horse name: Name of the runner
Wrat Rk: Ranking number based on the Wizard Wrat, with (1) being the top rated 100 pointer, (2) being the second top-rated, and so on.
AOdds: Wizard assessed odds with its market set to a maximum of 100%.
AOdds%: The Wizard assessed odds expressed as a percentage (chance of success). For example, a horse assessed at $4.00 would have a corresponding 25% chance of winning.
EOddsAM: The (average) early odds offered by wagering operators, adjusted to a full market percentage of 120%.
EOddsAM%: The wagering operators average odds expressed as a percentage. For example, a horse priced by them at $7.00 would have a corresponding 14.3% chance of winning.
Avg%: The total of the percentage chances as assessed by the Wrat and the Early Odds, divided by two; that is, the average pre-race assessment.

The following table shows where the winner of each race run yesterday was rated by Wrat, Wmod, Whcp, and Wexpk and was the qualifier in the Wizard Raceday Report. (Note: The Wrat [W] winner results report on both the top rated and top-two rated winners.) The Raceday Report winners under the Top Rated column are from those races where there was only one Raceday qualifier, and under the Top 2 Rated on the rare occasions where there were two qualifiers in a race.
